Best Settings for Ready or Not: Dark Waters on Steam Deck
Ready or Not has continually received updates since it first launched and has become a popular and liked game. Today we will lay out the best settings for gaming on the go with your Steam Deck.
There is some uncertainty about whether to choose DX11 or DX12. We recommend DX12, as it is more likely to receive updates. However, at the moment, you will be hard-pressed to tell the difference looking at them side by side.
With a few tweaks to the medium graphics preset, you can game between 40-60 FPS with some dips into the 30s when breaching through doors and you have some effects going off like grenades and flashbangs. This is true in single-player mode, however moving into multiplayer and in some maps, for example, we drop down to between 20-30 FPS thanks to the glossy textures so improvements still need to be made and optimisations to iron out. We can tweak the settings further for the inclusion of the DLC maps though which will hold above 30 FPS much more consistently.
Ready or Not isn't verified on Steam Deck but is playable thanks to the controller support.
