Although the game is off to a rough start, there are still almost 100k daily active players, the patches are coming thick and fast and Ark: Survival Ascended is now playable on the Steam Deck, with a little bit of work.
While the character creation screen freezing after 15s is specific to the Steam Deck, all the issues seem to be game related and will hopefully get fixed soon.
