BattleBit Remastered hits over 60k Concurrent Players and works great on Steam Deck

We have gameplay on the Steam Deck showing just how good it runs BattleBit Remastered, the latest FPS craze to be sweeping across Steam.

As of June 20, 2023 BattleBit Remastered set it's concurrent player record the night before with over 61k active concurrent players.

We dove into the game with the 127 vs 127 mode and enjoyed some pure chaos on the Steam Deck.

We didn't have to install the anti-cheat separately, it seems to hook in ok with the Proton Easy Anti-Cheat client on Steam Deck.

However, it's worth noting that it's not always been a smooth ride when it gets updates, so be warned, it could break on the Anti-cheat front at any point as BattleBit Remastered get's updates.

It's also worth noting that Controller Support isn't working on the Steam Deck currently and you will have to use a community layout. We used the Community layout of R6 + COD Feel from the Community Layouts section on the Steam Deck for the game.

The E key is not mapped in that config though so you will have to manually map it if you hop on any vehicles that require starting. We mapped the E key to the weapon wheel virtual menu bound to the left touch pad.
