Steam Deck is great for discovering & enjoying classic games
A great advantage of the Steam Deck is playing classic titles like Bayonetta flawlessly and you can often pick them up at heavily discounted prices. Catching up on old games you may have missed thanks to the Deck's mobility is fantastic & the fact we captured this gem for under £5 is great value. The only downside to rediscovering Bayonetta on Steam Deck is realising we can't play the 2nd and 3rd instalments without emulation.
Bayonetta Performance is Flawless on Steam Deck
As you will see from the above video Bayonetta performs flawlessly on Steam Deck. A streamlined solid 60 FPS makes for a great gaming experience. Choosing max graphical settings will only push around 11 watts meaning a good 4-6 hours of gameplay on the Steam Deck OLED and around 3 hours on the LCD model.
Classic Games, not so Classic Controls
A feature of older titles such as Bayonetta that we youngsters may not remember is they often came with the controls inverted by default. This means that up was down and left was right. This was the default for flight simulators and FPS titles of certain generations and is why most if not all, video games can revert to this in the settings options. Bayonetta falls foul to these classic settings so you may want to change things up before setting off on a great journey through a fantastic game on Steam Deck.
