For those who don't know, a Steam Deck Verified game means it will run well on the Steam Deck LCD and OLED models without any additional configuration. Games branded with the green and white check circle are designed to run like native games on the handheld. Valve tests games on the Steam Deck and if they meet certain criteria including input, display, seamlessness and system support, they are given the Verified status. Even though the game is verified it doesn't account for an expected performance scenario.

That's where we come in so stay tuned to find out how the game performs when it releases.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is coming out January 23rd, 2025. Currently, there is a special promotion if you pre-purchase that includes cosmetic items and a 30% discount. You can pick the game up from Steam for £45.49 and as a pre-purchase bonus you will receive:

  • Summon materia: Moogle Trio

  • Armor: Shinra bangle Mk. II

  • Armor: Midgar bangle Mk. II

The current promotion ends on release day.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is part 2 of an ongoing Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. Part 1, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade was Steam Deck Verified and tested 2 years ago by us and performed fairly well so we can hope for another smooth launch in 6 days.

"After escaping Midgar, the City of Mako, Cloud and his friends overcome the boundaries of faith and step into the unknown wasteland. A vast world with many characteristics awaits, as well as a new story where you will run through fields on chocobos to freely explore points of interest."
