Helldivers 2 MSI Claw AI mode Gameplay & performance

I recently had the opportunity to test out the MSI Claw 155H's performance while playing Helldivers 2, and I'm happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised by the results. For this particular test, I had the AI mode enabled, which resulted in the device pulling around 35 watts. I had the noise cancellation feature disabled, but it didn't cause any issues during gameplay.

In terms of graphics, I had them set pretty much the same as I would on other handheld devices and the Steam Deck, running the game at 900p, which is similar to our ally settings. I had the game set to the low preset but increased texture resolution, view distance, and terrain quality to medium. However, after watching some of the effects back, I feel like I should have put the effects up to medium as well. During gameplay, I encountered a fair amount of bugs, especially since I was playing on medium difficulty, but overall, it was a smooth experience.

The sound quality on the MSI Claw is absolutely immense, and although the drivers are still maturing, performance in Helldivers 2 was absolutely fine and perfectly playable. I didn't experience any hiccups in the actual performance itself, and I really enjoyed my time playing the game on the Claw. The game did dip into the 30s occasionally, especially during huge explosions, but it bounced between 30 and 40 frames per second, which was acceptable.

If you're looking to play Helldivers 2 on the MSI Claw, you won't have any problems. With the latest Intel Arc drivers that just dropped, it just makes it a little bit more stable, but there's no real performance gain. If you're still on the fence about purchasing the MSI Claw, let me know in the comments below.
