INIU provided us with their new Cougar, the market's smallest 100W 2500mAh power bank to test and review with our handheld devices and we weren't disappointed. This small but mighty device can supply 3 separate outputs at once or a single high-power 100W output and is approximately 30% smaller than other 2500maAh power banks.
This beautifully designed device is quite minimalistic, and although it offers a large screen relative to its size, it only displays the charging or discharging status. The INIU Cougar P63-E1 is available in a wide range of colours, which you can view in the gallery below.
INIU Cougar 100w 2500mAh Testing
In our testing with the ROG Ally and Ally X, we weren't able to use the turbo 30W mode when plugged into the 45W output but we were when using the 100W output. Using the turbo 30W mode on the ROG Ally X we were only able to enjoy an hour of gameplay. As you can see from the image above and the video below, we can have single 100W and 45W USB-C outputs and a single 18W USB 3 output. If we use the two USB-C ports (OUT1 & OUT2) simultaneously we only output 65W + 45W respectively, OUT1 & OUT3 gives us 65W + 18W, OUT2 & OUT3 gives us 15W total and OUT1+OUT2+OUT3 equals 65W + 15W Maximum.
Charging-wise, the INIU Cougar doesn't fully charge the massive 80WHrs battery of the ASUS ROG Ally X. From a fully discharged Ally X battery the INIU Cougar will discharge its full capacity to give around 77% on the device. The original ASUS ROG Ally can be fully charged twice thanks to its smaller 40WHrs battery. In testing we found the INIU Cougar could charge the Steam Deck OLED fully, with around 20-30% capacity leftover and INIU states up to 1.8 charges for an LCD Steam Deck.
Overall the INIU Cougar 100W 2500mAh power bank impressed with what it can output from such a small device. INIU are using HIgh-Density TinyCell technology which allows the same battery capacity as an ordinary one while reducing the profile by 20-30%. They also use HyperStack Architecture which shortens the device length by 15mm without sacrificing power or performance.
