The latest Legion Space update (1.0.2.6) and BIOS version 29 are still in progress and the update is expected within the next three weeks as long as there are no significant issues. The update will bring longstanding asks for Fan Curve settings, FPS Limiter, and Automatic Driver Updates.
High-Priority Features and Fixes
In addition to these updates, the development team is also focusing on several high-priority items, including:
Key Mapping Support
Custom TDP Fix
Improved Gyro Support
Battery Charge Limiting
The progression of these features depends on interdepartmental coordination and resource allocation. The team assures users that all these enhancements are in the pipeline, with a clear understanding of their urgency.
Controller Firmware Update
A controller firmware update was released to fix various bugs and add functionalities for future LEgion Space updates. This includes synchronized lighting effects for controllers, faster light effect switching, and interfaces for power key light switch, trigger deadzone, and sleep timing.
Graphics and Services
Collaboration with AMD is in progress for AFMF (AMD Fluid Motion Frames) implementation, with driver validation and qualification expected to take extra time, there is no update on this right now but it is being worked on and should follow soon after AFMF leaves beta.
Enhanced Warranty and Accidental Damage Protection
For North America, an option to upgrade warranties is now available. Efforts are also being made to introduce Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) as an add-on but is still being finalized. Europe warranty and ADP is still being looked at, but no news at this time.
Addressing Ongoing Issues
The team continues to address various issues, such as fan whine, controller wobble, and external monitor compatibility in portrait mode. Fixes for fan whine and controller wobble have been addressed with manufacturing changes, however there is no route for existing issues to replace their units currently and there will likely be an RMA process to follow soon.
