So, I just tried out the latest update for the Legion Go, and let me tell you, it's a game changer! The previous update was pretty great, but this one takes things to a whole new level.
The update includes general improvements, bug fixes, reduced distortion, and changes to DXGI capture that may improve frame rate stability and address possible other issues. I checked out the full change log and was excited to test out some games to see if the update made a difference.
The first game I tried was Helldivers 2, and I was just blown away by how great it looked and ran. I did have it running on medium graphical settings and was getting a solid 60fps with no ghosting whatsoever. Next, I tried out a game that previously had been hard to play on my device: Dragon's Dogma 2. But with the update, it's now much more playable and I was getting a solid 56 FPS.
I also tried out Horizon Forbidden West, and it was such a fun experience to play with the update. I was getting and maintaining a solid 64 FPS with no ghosting. Finally, I tried out emulation, and it definitely took me by surprise. Previously with Lossless Scaling, there had been a lot of ghosting, but with the update it was now gone, and the game ran smoothly at a solid 50 FPS, albeit with a few hiccups here and there.
Overall, I have to say that this update is a major game changer. It's made such a huge difference in the way I can play games on my device, and I'm excited to go back and play games that I had no interest in playing before. If you haven't checked out the update yet, I highly recommend it.
