In this video, the we discuss recent updates for the ROG Ally, focusing on a BIOS update from version 336 to 337 and a GPU driver update. The updates seem to be minor, primarily addressing bug fixes.

We encourage viewers to check for updates through the ASUS system update on their desktops. Note the importance of checking for performance improvements despite the updates being labeled as minor.

Moving into performance comparisons, there is before-and-after footage for Cyberpunk, Mortal Kombat, Skull and Bones, and Forza Motorsport. In Cyberpunk, there is a noticeable improvement in frame times and a slightly higher FPS with the newer update. Mortal Kombat sees cleaner frame times, but the FPS remains relatively similar.

Skull and Bones, being a newer Ubisoft game, exhibits similar performance between the two versions. However, Forza Motorsport shows a peculiar decrease in GPU clock speeds with the new BIOS, leading to worse performance in this specific game.

We appreciate ASUS's continuous efforts to improve the ROG Ally, acknowledging that while updates may not always result in performance boosts, it's crucial to check multiple games as performance can vary. Updates may sometimes introduce setbacks but we appreciate ASUS's commitment to smoothing out the overall experience.
