6 Steam Deck Docks Reviewed

With so many Steam Deck docks on the market, it's hard to know what to choose.

So what is the best Steam Deck dock? Unfortunately, it's not quite as simple as that for this one.

There are a few factors to consider when choosing a Steam Deck dock:

1. Are you using a case

2. Do you mind removing the case every time you want to use the dock?

3. Do you require additional/external storage

4. Are you going to be using the dock screen or an external screen while docked

Best Dock for a naked Steam Deck

The Official Steam Deck Dock is the winner here, although it is the most expensive non-storage option, it does also come with an official charger, which does come in very useful, meaning you can leave one plugged into the dock and still have the other with you when you take your Steam Deck on its travels.

Best Dock for a Steam Deck in a Case

Although both the iVoler Pro dock and Park Sung docks happily seat a deck with the case still on, due to the rear fan port blocking on the Park Sung, the iVoler Pro is the winner for this one and also sports a more appealing design.

Best dock for additional storage or running Windows

The JSAUX m.2 Steam Deck Dock is the clear winner for this one, although it is the most expensive dock option even without additional storage, the ability to mount an m.2 NVME SSD and use it for either Steam OS, partitioned or purely for Windows on deck, makes this an extremely versatile and worthy dock.

There is no wrong dock, if you already have one and not one in this review, that's okay, new docks are hitting the market every day and we haven't come across any bad docks yet, some are better suited than others, but they all will get the job done. We will cover more docks as new and interesting ones come onto the market.
